Guides to the heating and cooling systems in the cottage

Winter

To warm the cottage you have three options.

For the bedrooms you can switch on the gas heater at the control panel in the hallway. Simply turn the switch to ‘Heat’ and it will start operating. We suggest you set the temperature to 25, by pressing and holding the up and down arrows.

You will also find two small portable heaters in the bedroom cupboards that are quite effective at heating a single room.

For the kitchen / lounge room you can use the split system air conditioner above the couch using the remote control. Simply turn it on, set the mode to Heat, and select your desired temperature.

Consider closing all doors and windows when running the heaters.

Summer

To cool the cottage you can use the split system air conditioner above the couch using the remote control. Simply turn it on, set the mode to Cool, and select your desired temperature.

This tends to be powerful enough to flow through the whole house.

You will also find portable fans in each of the bedroom cupboards to create a nice breeze.

Consider closing all doors and windows when running the air conditioner.
